We recommend washing your handmade piece turned inside out by hand in cold water. If you are using a machine, we suggest washing inside a mesh laundry garment bag with like colors on delicate cycle. Use mild detergent and no fabric softener. Lay flat to dry. For spot cleaning stains the Mexican way, use Zote White Mexican Laundry Soap, available at HEB, Kroger, Wal-Mart and Amazon.
It is important to note that sometimes the ink from the embroidery design is still visible on clothing at purchase. Don't worry - it will come out after a few washes.
